Tropical Fruit Smoothie
Inviting too many fruits to the smoothie party can sometimes be a problem, but this mix of fruits works very well. Don’t leave out the coconut cream, it really enhances the flavour.
Ingredients: (serves 4 – 6)
200g Pineapple chunks, including juice
1 of Papaya, peeled, seeded and coarsely chopped
1 mango, Peeled, seeded and coarsely chopped
1 ripe Banana, peeled and broken into chunks
2-3 Tbsp coconut cream (not milk)
2-3 Tbsp honey
1 Vanilla pod, seeds scraped out
454g Plain yogurt
1 to 1 ½ scoops crushed ice
Blend all ingredients, except ice, in blender first set at medium and then at high. When smooth continue blending while pouring in 1 to 1½ scoops crushed ice. Pour into a tall glass and serve. As I’ve mentioned before there are no hard and fast rules to which other combinations of fruits and ingredients you may wish to choose.
