Fancy a Cuppa Luv? #NationalTeaDay

Friday 21st April is the official day of tea (AKA National Tea Day). Hurrah!

So, to celebrate the nation’s insatiable love for the great British cuppa, a national UK survey of a 1,000 tea-loving Brits across the UK finds out which city drinks the most tea, and to settle one of the most important debates of all time: What’s the perfect strength of tea?

OUR FAVOURITE TEA STRENGTH

The perfect strength for a cup of tea is according to us Brits, with almost half the nation saying, 48% is the optimum strength of tea for them. What do you reckon?

HOW MUCH TEA WE DRINK

  2. In London, every day 25.9 million cups of tea are enjoyed – in a year that would be enough tea to fill up the Big Ben Clock Tower 500 times
  3. On average people in Glasgow drink the most tea each day – 3.62 cups to be precise, and over a third (35%) drink at least five cups a day
  4. Edinburgh’s the city that’s most likely to opt for the strongest tea in our tea chart – one in seven said cup number one would be the perfect strength for them
